Now that the 86th Texas Legislative session is over, what happened in terms of behavioral health and youth? How will San Antonio benefit? NEW! Michelle Harper, Vice President for Child and Family Policy at Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute (MMHPI) will now be joining us at the event! MMHPI's expertise at a state level will supplement the local experts previously announced. This is a "can't miss" update! Join us on Tuesday, August 27, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the San Antonio Area Foundation's offices. Local experts representing mental health, substance abuse, and education will share their knowledge on what bills passed, what didn't make it through this session, and the impact to San Antonio youth. Experts include: Allison Greer, Center for Health Care Services Deborah Caldwell, Northeast Independent School District Abigail Moore, San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness The information will also link back to a study released in February of 2019 that served as a pathway for creating "upstream" behavioral health services.
