CAM Emergency Christmas Store Donation Drive
Christian Assistance Ministry (CAM) is asking for help in reaching its goal of providing new toys and gifts for 1,000 children and teenagers this Christmas. Donations of new, unwrapped toys and gifts will stock the CAM Emergency Christmas Store, which provides a free shopping experience for families in crisis who don’t have the ability to provide gifts for their children this Christmas. Parents are given the opportunity to “shop” for gifts for their children.
Individuals, churches and businesses are welcome to participate in collecting new, unwrapped toys for the drive, which is taking place now through Dec. 9.
CAM has created an Amazon registry of gifts for children and teens (https://a.co/5Sg3q0b). Gifts and toys purchased through Amazon will be shipped directly to CAM. Donors may also bring gifts to CAM’s curbside drop off area at its downtown location, 110 McCullough Ave.
Items in demand include gifts for tweens and teens (earbuds, wireless speakers, gift cards, art & craft sets, makeup and toiletry gift sets, jewelry, men’s cologne (Axe), women’s fragrances and lotions); gifts for school age children (Legos, dolls/playsets, action figures, building sets, sports and outdoor games, books, art and craft sets); preschool toys (developmental toys, building blocks, pretend play/dress up items, bath toys, toy cars and trucks, dolls and accessories); and bikes and scooters (can be gently used).
