Introductory Blacksmith Class - One Day!
One Day Blacksmith Class - Sunday 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM with a one hour lunch break. You will learn how to make the key, basic tools which are the foundation of the craft. The class is highly interactive and you will work on pieces that are yours to keep! You will hammer, forge, and do a great deal of the work yourself. The goal is to have a finished product at the end of class. Safety Information: You don’t need to bring much to class--safety glasses and work gloves are provided. It is advised to wear closed toe shoes, preferably leather, and natural fiber clothes such as cotton. Synthetic fibers can catch sparks more easily. Because we are in Texas, it's already hot before the forges are fired up, so please bring plenty of water to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed. FAQs Is there a minimum age requirements to enter the event? Minimum age is 16 years old with parental consent form signed upon drop off at the beginning of class Saturday morning. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Email Charles directly at email@example.com, or the shop firstname.lastname@example.org What's the refund policy? As stated on EventBrite, there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. Class space is limited and there is typically waitlist, so cancellations ahead of time are appreciated so someone else has time to sign up. If there is an unforseen circumstance, please contact us and we will work with you to honor your registration for another date. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes, often classes are given as a gift for birthdays or holidays.
