Spring 2019 "Come and Take It!" Open Enrollment Challenge Course
Ever wanted to try the Disciple Oaks challenge course but didn't have a group to attend with? This course is designed so that now you can attend individually as part of an open enrollment group. This weekend course is a high adventure outdoor program working with other adults and high school youth as a team to work through interesting and unique challenges. It is fun, it is challenging, and it is rewarding. We promise that when your friends ask 'what did you do for your weekend?', you won't have to say 'not much'. The course fee is $150. The course fee covers use of the course facility, dorm-style lodging, and meals. The course requires arrival by 7PM on Friday and the ability to stay until 4PM on Sunday. FAQsAre there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? You must be minimum of 14 years of age on or before October 12, 2018. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Each attendee is responsible for their transportation to the camp. Adequate, free parking is available on the camp grounds. What can I bring into the event? Clothing suitable for outdoor activities in all weather conditions. Belted jeans or cargo pants. No open toed shoes. Bed linens, pillow, towel, personal toiletries. More information will be sent in an email to all paid registrations in the week leading up to the course. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Organizers are Dan Dean at firstname.lastname@example.org and Bob Simons at email@example.com What's the refund policy? All course fees are refundable in a situation that the camp cancels the course. If the course is not cancelled, we ask your understanding that resources (materials, food, facility reservations) are procured based on number of registrations and therefore making course fees non-refundable. Are tickets transferable? Yes. We will honor all transferred tickets if three conditions are met. (1) You must notify organizers by email 48 hours in advance that someone other than you will be using a ticket with your name on it, (2) the person attending must be 14 years of age or older, and if under 18 that that person has a permission form signed by a parent or legal guardian. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Not if you are the person whose name is on the online registration. If you are an attendee using a registration with another name (transferred ticket), then, yes, we will need the printed ticket as verification.
